On 12th February 2025, The National Lottery Community Fund and CAST held an in-person event to support greater collaboration amongst funders engaging with AI.
The session showcased examples of funders’ use of AI, and explored how to best align learning and support to the sector, to continue building a sector-wide response that benefits from the opportunities of AI whilst mitigating harms.
"Over the past year, 175 people from 125 grant making organisations have been working together to explore the opportunities and challenges of AI. Facilitated by CAST, this peer group has grown in response to the pace and scale of change from AI. We need an empowered, vocal and influential civil society to centre community and social value within AI, and an aligned, collective response from funders is critical to that." Dan Sutch, Director, CAST
